June is National Men's Health Month

Linthicum, MD, June 1, 2017- The Urology Care Foundation and the American Urological Association (AUA) are encouraging men to know their risk and talk to their doctor this month in honor of National Men's Health Month.

There are a variety of urologic conditions that can impact a man's health and other health conditions men face can have an effect on their urologic health. The Foundation and the AUA are raising awareness on common urologic conditions men face this month.

"There's no better time than Men's Health Month to start and join conversations with men and the women in their life about their urologic health," said Richard A. Memo, MD, chair of the Urology Care Foundation. "The Foundation will be encouraging men to explore the free patient guides, videos, podcasts and other resources they provide."

Using the following weekly themes, the Foundation and AUA will work together to connect, educate and inspire men across the country to know their risk and talk to their doctor about their urologic health:

June 1-3 | Men's Health Month Introduction
June 4 -10 | General Men's Health - Pain Below the Belt
June 11-17 | Prostate Cancer and BPH
June 18-24 | Diabetes and its Impact on Urologic Health
June 25-30 | Testicular Cancer

Men's Health Month begins Thursday, June 1. The AUA and the Foundation will utilize a newly launched podcasts series, in addition to their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram platforms to disseminate this information for public use and dialogue.
