Each new year comes with many resolutions both old and new. While you don’t need a new year to start setting or achieving goals, the start of a new year is a great way to set yourself up with a health checklist for the year to make sure certain screenings and routine checkups are scheduled. Did you know certain groups of people are at a higher risk for certain health concerns such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and more?
It is of great value to start with an annual physical exam. Getting this appointment on the calendar every year can help jump start your health checklist. Your doctor can help you learn more about which checkups and screenings are best for you. From there you can work to get those scheduled to build upon your health checklist.
Curious about what some of those checklist items may include? The Urology Care Foundation has some general urology resources that may help start the conversation with your doctor. Check them out here.
This year, strive to be proactive in your health journey!
